I had the opportunity to visit Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana. This beautiful city is also known as the dragon city. While there are dragons incorporated in many building, paintings, stature and even the official flag, there is one place which won my heart.

The so-called Dragon Bridge “Zmajski most” is a bridge over the Ljubljanica river near the center of Ljubljana. This bridge is home to four dragon resting on a pedestal guard the bridge.

The dragons are made of copper which corroded gives the dragons a nice green color. Also, the acid rain damage gives the statues a texture which I really like and gives those dragons a  somewhat intimidating look and feel.

A fired of mine once stated: “Those statues might be the only ones where the acid raid damage makes them look even more bad-ass then they already are.”
